Just As I Am by Virginia Smith
Mayla Strong is a 22-year-old woman with purple hair, pierced nose, and a stud in her lip. To the tune of “Just As I Am”, Mayla finds herself heading to the front of her mother’s church. She was just visiting to get her mother to get her off her case, but she ended up wanting to get her life on a new track. The Lord begins to make remarkable changes in Mayla’s life in the most hysterical ways.
The characters in this novel are so likable; I hated to finish the book. I read the entire story in one afternoon and wanted more. This was my first novel by Virginia Smith, but I eagerly got online and downloaded several more. If you like to learn lessons in a digestible and humorous way, you need to read this book.
