About Me

I am a Christian. I live a blessed life, but not a simple life. My husband calls me Mrs. Murphy, because if anything can go wrong, it will and usually does. Especially with me. I am fine with this. God has blessed me so much that a few accidental incidentals are not a big deal. I also have a book blog of the books I've read.

Fascinating Characters, Captivating Plot

Indivisible by Kristen Heitzmann

Something strange and evil is going on in the small town of Redford, Colorado. Police Chief Jonah Westfall is trying to find out who is cutting, sewing, torturing animals and leaving them on the trails. Jonah enlists the help of Liz, the new vet in town, but she can’t find the answers. Tia Manning, a shop-owner in town, has been in love with Jonah since they were children. However, their relationship is explosive due to an event in the past. With strange, funny, and mysterious characters showing up through the investigation, Jonah has too many suspects and very few answers. All the time wondering if he and Tia ever be able to get over their past, forget the shame and admit their love for one another?

This mystery was very well written with several sub-plots weaving in and out of the main story. I finished this book in one day and wanted to read more. Heitzmann kept the subplots close at hand, so the reader did not forget what was going on. The characters were so well displayed that you could imagine them in your mind. Surprising twists and turns kept my interest, so that I could not put the book down.
